Hi,

I have an idea I’m excited about -- a way for us to promote our photography programs… and sell some photos for you at the same time.

Here’s the deal:  Every year at AWAI’s Copywriting Bootcamp (their annual conference), I get a small booth from which I sell our photography and travel writing programs.  This year, I’d like to try to attract more bodies to our little corner by having up on the walls some of your gorgeous photos -- and to sell them for your while I’m at it.

I can’t be certain that the photos will sell (as Rich says – it’s a lot easier to sell a local photograph than it is a travel photo at these things) but I’d like to give it a shot.  Here’s how it’ll work…

I’m emailing you and the rest of our past workshop attendees and asking you to send me two to three of your best photos from our workshop (note: these must be photos taken at our workshop).

Rich and I will pick the best ones and print and mat them just as we would if we were selling these in an art gallery or at a table at our local art festival.  We’ll then assign a price to each picture based on its size and include your name and contact information on the back.

We’ll keep track of all the photos that sell and send you the profit minus whatever it costs Rich to print, mat, and ship them to me in Florida. 

This will be our first showing and you’re only sending three pictures -- so you can’t expect a windfall of cash. But I’m looking for a few guinea pigs if you’re interested.

I just figured we’d give it a try… no harm done if it doesn’t work. And if it does, you could have a sale or two to your name.

Simply send 1-3 pictures by email with your name and contact information in the body of the email to rich@thephotographerslife.com.  The sooner you can get them to me, the better.  Rich will only have time to print so many before I need them in Florida next week.  We can’t accept anything after Thursday, October 26 and again… the sooner you can get them to me, the better.
