Jen Stevens

Jennifer StevensJen Stevens is the author of The Ultimate Travel Writer's Program and architect of The Ultimate Travel Writer's Workshop.  As the Executive Editor of International Living, she's traveled through 23 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Africa writing about the best locales for overseas travel, retirement, and investment.

For several years, she edited Island Properties Report, a monthly letter devoted to living and investing on islands around the world. Before that, she worked as a writer and editor for Trade & Culture magazine, a bi-monthly devoted to international trade issues.

In past incarnations, she lived in Paris and wrote market research reports for the Foreign Commercial Service. And she spent two years as a Peace Corps volunteer on a spit of sand between Madagascar and Mozambique.

Steenie Harvey

Steenie Harvey is International Living's roving Euro-editor and a freelancer whose by-line has appeared in such illustrious publications as The Washington Post, The World & I, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, and The World of Hibernia among many others in the States, Ireland, Britain, Australia, and Germany.

She is the author of three travel books, including: European Vacation Rentals, Adapter Kit: Ireland: A Traveler's Tools for Living Like a Local, and Live Well in Ireland: How to Relocate, Retire, and Increase Your Standard of Living. And she also wrote The Foreign Market Shortcut: How to Write Less and Double Your Sales.

She currently lives in County Roscommon in the west of Ireland. Born in England of Latvian and English parents, she moved to Ireland in 1988 with her Scottish husband Michael and their daughter Magdalen.

John Forde
