| I had my first successful photo acknowledged as an Honorable Mention in the October 2006 Caribbean Travel & Life Magazine Photo Contest. I took a picture of a yellow Warbler bird in Ambergrise Caye, Belize and won a year subscription for it! |

| What are you working on now? |
| I am working on putting together my next photo for the 2007 Caribbean Travel & Life Magazine as well as finishing my Travel Writing Course. My dream is to write and take photos for the magazine. |

| What has been your proudest writing, photography, or
import/export moment? |
| Having one of my photos picked for Oprah Winfrey's "Breathing Space" section of her website. |

| Please give us an example of how your life has
changed since becoming a travel writer, photographer, or
import-exporter. |
| I have a clear focus of where my passion for writing, photography and travel can come together and create a lifestyle that I've always wanted. |

| What success tip would you like to share with your
fellow AWAI members? |
| Get the "Early to Rise" Daytimer that helps keep you on track with where your time is going and how to structure your success by planning for it. Life will try to get in the way of your passion, so you need to plan appointments with yourself to pursue the dreams that you want to acheive. |

| When did you realize you were living the writer’s or
photographer’s life? |
| When I went down to Mexico at Christmastime and the whole pool area knew Debbie was the one with the "camera". The Program Directors kept calling on me to take pictures of their organized events so I have put together a CD to send to the Hotel Manager. |
