| My first travel article, about an indor ice village in Florida, appeared in my local monthly newspaper. |

| I am sitting in a small boutique hotel in Dominica, West Indies, as I write this. I am making notes on my excursions, hikes, snorkle trip and hotel stays for my next piece. |

| Please give us an example of how your life has
changed since becoming a travel writer, photographer, or
import-exporter. |
| I was a burned out personal trainer, tired of teaching folks how and why to exercise. I began to write about my travels to marathons and this lead to the study of travel writing. I am now learning about photography and couldn't be happier. |

| When did you realize you were living the writer’s or
photographer’s life? |
| I began studying travel writing, but telling no one. Once my first article came out in print, I fessed up and told my friends. |
