Age: Young and getting younger   What is your current occupation? Mum with 2 little ones under 2   What are you studying at AWAI (travel writing, photography, import/export, or all three)? Travel Writing and Photography   What was your first successful article or photo about and where did it appear? Less than one month into my courses an opportunity arose to write a book with an associate. I jumped at the chance and the book Debt free, Cashed Up and having fun was written and received a contract for publishing by one of Australian premium publishers. The book hits the stands next week. (April 26 2007) Yippee! The publishers expect it to go to the Best Seller list and we are talking about a second book. Thanks or helping me to focus and achieve one of my goals.
What are you working on now?
I am back finishing my course and hoping planning to write a serious of article about our upcoming 6 month holiday touring in a motor home throughout the US. Have began taking photo's and having a great time.
What has been your proudest writing, photography, or import/export moment?
See my book in the best book stores.
Please give us an example of how your life has changed since becoming a travel writer, photographer, or import-exporter.
I have two little ones that will never have to go to Childcare, as I now don't have to go back to work. In fact, we are currently planning a 6-month vacation to the US.
What success tip would you like to share with your fellow AWAI members?
Go for it. Set goals and achieve them.
When did you realize you were living the writer’s or photographer’s life?
When the contracts were signed and I realised we were likely to make a sizable income through writing.
