| What was your first successful article or photo about
and where did it appear? |
February 2000 - the local chamber had an expo where I had attendees answer a questionnaire about clothes for work. Then I wrote an article detailing the survey results which was published in the local paper.
April 2000 - a different local paper published an article written by moi titled: "So what does a healthy mid-life woman look like?"
2005 - I put up my own website of photos and videos taken in my new hometown - this site is now linked through the library, it has gotten me assignments through the Chamber as a photographer, which also published my photos on their site.
I got my first copywriting gig and wrote an e-report titled: "Follow the Fed" which is been used for a giveaway when signing up for a financial firm's investment system.
February 2006 - my first ghost written article in Diversity Careers Magazine

| What are you working on now? |
| I have been hired to update a marina guide for New England, as a copywriter for two companies to rewrite their web content, working with a cancer center to write their marketing materials, do surveys, etc. My own ebooks and other short stories. My goal is to have 10 articles published by year end. |
| |
| What has been your proudest writing, photography, or
import/export moment? |
| My proudest moment in both writing and photography has been seeing my work actually printed in a newspaper, magazine or on someone else's website. Receiving a check for my work also helped! |
| |
| Please give us an example of how your life has
changed since becoming a travel writer, photographer, or
import-exporter. |
As my girlfriends would say - travel writing and photography has given me more "Chutzpah". When I travel, I now feel comfortable traveling on my own. Telling people you're a travel writer/photographer is a great way to strike up a converstaion and learn what's going on in the area. |
